LOCATION
Kuluncak Ore is located in south eastern of Turkey in Kuluncak town, which resides between Malatya and Sivas. Kuluncak is in close proximity to Hasancelebi/Hekimhan town where major iron ore reserves of Turkey are located. (View Larger Map)
TRANSPORTATION
The mine has an easy access to railway. This enables Maxore to transport iron ore to ports and to major manufacturers conveniently.

KULUNCAK IRON ORE - RESERVES
The iron ore can be described as vein type deposit which is primarily controlled by regional thrust faulting. The mine is an open pit mine which can be operated from April-May to November. Mining licenses cover 44 square km area. Resource estimation is above 20 million tones as per the JORC code.
KULUNCAK IRON ORE - PROJECT BACKGROUND
Exploration studies started in 2008. Upon completion of Phase I and Phase II studies per the JORC Code, logistics and operational benchmarks were achieved and small scale mining process had started. Feasibility studies and small scale mining operation were conducted by Exxaro Base Metals, one of the leading mining companies of South Africa.
DRY BENEFICIATION PLANT
The first beneficiation plant is a mobile dry beneficiation plant with a capacity of 48,000 - 60,000 tons per month. The plant is operational as of September 2011. The second phase of the dry beneficiation plant was completed in 2012, including magnetic seperator, pre screener, jaw crusher and impact crusher. Wet beneficiation plant will be installed as early as 2016.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
After beneficiation process, Fe grade will be 60-62%.
KULUNCAK LEAD ORE
Maxore has a mining license for lead. Soil sampling studies are completed. Drilling studies will commence in 2013.
